Feb 8, 2024 · The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville is a 434-acre public botanical garden and is one of our favorite places to visit in Western North Carolina. While still part of Pisgah National Forest , it was established as an affiliate of the University of North Carolina System in 1986.
